KUALA LUMPUR: Tealive bubble tea brand owner, Loob Holding Sdn Bhd said all Tealive stores will remain in business as usual.
In a brief statement, the company said that its lawyers informed that the Federal Court had earlier today granted its application for a stay of the Court of Appeal order dated June 27.
“On behalf of the Tealive team, we would like to thank everyone for their continued trust and support. Our lawyers will continue to handle the ongoing court matter until the final resolution,” said Chief Executive Officer Bryan Loo.
On June 27, 2018, the Court of Appeal granted an injunction to Taiwanese company, La Kaffa International Co. Ltd, against Loob Holding from running a similar business as the teahouse chain known for its bubble teas.
The dispute between Loob Holding and La Kaffa began in early December 2016 when the Taiwanese company terminated the master franchise agreement between the two parties even though there were more than 20 years left on the deal.
